Winchcombe Pottery at The Makers Space
The Wilson Art Gallery & Museum, Cheltenham
December 2023 ~ March 2024

The exhibition was presented by Winchcombe Pottery to showcase the day to day practices of a traditional studio pottery. The world famous pottery was established in the Gloucestershire village of Winchcombe in 1926 by Michael Cardew where it continues to produce a wide range of table ware in very much the same way today.

I was invited to make a series of field recordings within the studios at Winchcombe, and exploring the surrounding area which occupies the site of an ancient apple orchard.
